La programmazione digitale di COMP(H)OST prosegue martedì 7 luglio con una speciale serie di performance musicali in live streaming. Protagonisti e protagoniste dell’evento saranno alcuni tra i migliori nomi della scena elettronica italiana, ciascuno di loro alle prese con una personale rilettura sonora dei temi affrontati finora dal progetto.

MANA è l’ultimo progetto di Daniele Mana, già noto come Vaghe Stelle e membro degli One Circle insieme con Lorenzo Senni e Francesco Fantini. Il suo album Seven Steps Behind è stato pubblicato nel 2019 dalla leggendaria etichetta londinese Hyperdub.
SILVIA KASTEL proviene dall’underground free noise. Già fondatrice dell’etichetta Ultramarine, il suo percorso l’ha portata a New York e Londra (dove ora risiede e tiene una trasmissione per l’emittente NTS), e all’elettronica straniante dell’album Air Lows uscito per la gloriosa Blackest Ever Black.
RAINBOW ISLAND è una band interdimensionale-psichedelica di base a Roma. Il loro ultimo album si intitola Crystal Smerluvio Riddims e segue l’acclamato esordio RNBW, uscito nel 2012.
MARTA DE PASCALIS è una compositrice che opera tra Roma e Berlino, specializzata in una ricerca a cavallo tra sintesi analogica e tape loops. I suoi album sono stati pubblicati dall’etichetta inglese The Wormhole.
Mana, Silvia Kastel, Rainbow Island e Marta De Pascalis daranno vita a un programma di un programma inedito, MAKE KIN NOT MUSIC, che esplora le ultime frontiere della ricerca elettronica incentrate sulla filosofia e sulla pratica dell’ ibridazione, tra naturale e artificiale e tra umano e non umano – tematiche che sono da sempre materia di riflessione in ambito musicale-elettronico. Al centro di ciascuna performance, la coesistenza di diverse forme di vita in quello che, con la sua preveggenza, Donna Haraway ha a suo tempo ribattezzato “un pianeta infetto”.

The digital programming of COMP(H)OST continues on Tuesday 7 July with a special series of live stream musical performances. The protagonists of this event are some of the most prominent names on the Italian electronic music scene, each of them coming to grips with a personal sound reinterpretation of the issues addressed so far by the project.

MANA is the latest project by musician Daniele Mana, formerly known as Vaghe Stelle and member of the One Circle with Lorenzo Senni and Francesco Fantini. His album Seven Steps Behind was released in 2019 by the legendary London-based label Hyperdub.
SILVIA KASTEL comes from the underground free noise scene and is the founder of the label Ultramarine. Her path took her to New York and London (where she has a show on NTS radio), and to the edgy alienating electronics of the album Air Lows released by the glorious label Blackest Ever Black.
RAINBOW ISLAND is an interdimensional-psychedelic band based in Rome. Their latest album is entitled Crystal Smerluvio Riddims and follows their acclaimed debut album RNBW, released in 2012.
MARTA DE PASCALIS is a composer who works between Rome and Berlin, specializing in productions bridging analog synthesis and tape loops. Her albums were released by the British label The Wormhole.
Mana, Silvia Kastel, Rainbow Island and Marta De Pascalis will create an unreleased program, MAKE KIN NOT MUSIC, which explores the latest frontiers of electronic music research centered on the philosophy and practice of hybridization, between natural and artificial and between human and non-human – themes that have always been at the heart of reflection in the musical-electronic field. At the center of each performance, the coexistence of different forms of life in what, with her foresight, Donna Haraway back in the day called “a damaged planet”.
