Silvia Kastel è producer, musicista e compositrice. La sua ricerca musicale spazia dall’industrial alla dub, dal free rock all’elettronica estrema ed è spesso basata sull’improvvisazione. Il suo percorso l’ha portata dall’Italia a Berlino, a New York e poi a Londra, dove attualmente risiede e conduce una trasmissione radiofonica per l’emittente NTS. Fondatrice dell’etichetta indipendente Ultramarine, Silvia Kastel ha collaborato con Kommissar Hjuler, Mama Bar, Ninni Morgia, Stefano Giust, Konx-Om-Pax ed altri importanti nomi della scena elettronica internazionale. Ha anche preso parte ai collettivi musicali Carver e Control Unit. La sua prima uscita è stata Love Tape nel 2011, seguita da Voice Studies 20, nel 2015, e da The Gap, nel 2016. Nel 2018 il suo album Air Lows è stato pubblicato dalla gloriosa etichetta londinese Blackest Ever Black.

Silvia Kastel is a producer, musician and composer. His musical research ranges from industrial to dub, from free rock to extreme electronics and is often driven by improvisation. Her path took her from Italy to Berlin, New York and then London, where she currently lives and conducts a radio broadcast for the NTS. Founder of the independent label Ultramarine, Silvia Kastel has collaborated with Kommissar Hjuler, Mama Bar, Ninni Morgia, Stefano Giust, Konx-Om-Pax and other important names on the international electronic scene. She has also taken part in the Carver and Control Unit music collectives. His first release was Love Tape in 2011, followed by Voice Studies 20 in 2015, and The Gap in 2016. Her 2018 album Air Lows was released by the glorious London label Blackest Ever Black.
