Rainbow Island è una band psichedelica interdimensionale di Roma composta da PikkioMania, Simne Donadni, Lou Geoscorpio e Dj Kimchi. La loro ricerca musicale spazia dal Folk Interdimensionale al Gombo Riddims per creare suoni e atmosfere sempre psichedeliche. Il loro esordio risale al 2012 con l’acclamata traccia Bongolandia dall’album RNBW, pubblicato dall’etichetta Flying Kids Records. Nel 2017 è uscito Crystal Smerluvio Riddims, album prodotto da No=Fi Recordings in collaborazione con Flying Kids Records. Il loro ultimo lavoro, Illmatrix, del 2020, pubblicato dall’etichetta marchigiana ArteTetra, ha segnato una svolta ancor più narcotizzante e deformante nel percorso sperimentale della band. I Rainbow Island hanno attirato l’attenzione di molti addetti ai lavori e di riviste quali “Rumore”, “Blow Up”, “The Wire”, “SentireAscoltare” e “OndaRock”.

Rainbow Island is an interdimensional-psychedelic based in Rome formed by PikkioMania, Simne Donadni, Lou Geoscorpio and DJ Kimchi. Their musical research ranges from Interdimensional Folk to Gombo Riddims and acts to create psychedelic sounds and atmospheres. Their debut dates back to 2012 with the acclaimed track Bongolandia from the album RNBW, released by Flying Kids Records. In 2017 they released Crystal Smerluvio Riddims, an album produced by No=Fi Recordings in collaboration with Flying Kids Records. Their latest work, Illmatrix, of 2020, published by the Marche label ArteTetra, marked an even more narcotizing and deforming turning point in the band’s experimental path.
