Maurizio Cilli è architetto, artista e attivatore di progettualità sociali. Negli anni ha curato diversi progetti volti alla riqualificazione dello spazio urbano e a favorire l’indagine sulle possibilità di produzione e condivisione culturale. Nel 1993 è stato tra i fondatori a Torino del collettivo Città Svelata, con il quale ha indagato fenomeni di trasformazione dei territori antropizzati e le risorse dello spazio pubblico. Conduce inoltre attività didattiche e workshop sui temi della cultura del progetto, dell’abitare e dell’applicazione delle arti civiche come pratiche nei processi di rigenerazione urbana e territoriale. In quest’ambito ha condiviso varie iniziative con a.titolo e con il progetto Eco e Narciso, in qualità di curatore e artista. Dal 2019 insegna Metodologia allo IED di Torino. Tra i suoi ultimi progetti figurano Senza casa, senza cosa? (Boîte Editions, 2018), sviluppato nell’ambito della mostra 999 domande sull’abitare contemporaneo alla Triennale di Milano, e Albedo, riflessione sui vuoti urbani attuata con la rete Lo Stato dei Luoghi. È co-curatore insieme con Stefano Mirti del progetto Bottom Up! Festival dell’architettura di Torino 2020.

Maurizio Cilli is an architect, artist and activator of social projects. Over the years he has curated several projects aimed at the redevelopment of urban space and to encourage the investigation of the possibilities of production and cultural sharing. In 1993 he was one of the founders in Turin of the collective Città Svelata, with which he investigated phenomena of transformation of anthropized territories and the resources of public space. He also develops educational activities and workshops on the themes of design culture, of living and of application of civic arts as practices in urban and territorial regeneration processes. In this field he shared various experiences with a.titolo and with the project Eco and Narciso, as curator and artist. Since 2019 he teaches Methodology at the IED of Turin. His latest projects are Senza casa, senza cosa? (Boîte Editions, 2018) developed in the exhibition 999 domande sull’abitare contemporaneo at the Triennale in Milan and Albedo, a reflection on urban voids implemented with the network Lo Stato dei Luoghi. He is co-curator, together with Stefano Mirti, of the project Bottom Up! Festival of Architecture in Turin 2020.
