Luigi Coppola è artista, attivista e promotore di progetti partecipativi, ed è co-attivatore del movimento della Casa delle Agriculture. La sua pratica è legata al processo di riappropriazione sociale dei beni comuni partendo dall’analisi di specifici contesti sociali, politici e culturali. Ha realizzato progetti e mostre in istituzioni e rassegne internazionali. Tra queste, negli ultimi anni, la Fondazione Merz a Torino, BAK a Utrecht, la Kunsthaus di Graz, la Quadriennale di Roma, il Kumu Art Museum di Tallinn (2017), il Teatro Continuo a Milano, Parckdesign, a Bruxelles (2016), la Biennale di Atene (2015). È stato joint artistic director con Michelangelo Pistoletto della Urban Art Biennale di Bordeaux Evento, nel 2011, e ha preso parte al gruppo di ricerca Art in Society alla Fontys Academy di Tilburg, nei Paesi Bassi.

His practice is connected to the process of social re-appropriation of commons, starting from the analysis of specific social, political and cultural contexts. He has carried out projects and exhibitions in international institutions. Among them, in recent years, the Fondazione Merz, Turin, BAK, Utrecht, Kunsthaus, Graz, the Quadriennale di Roma, Kumu Art Museum, Tallinn (2017), Teatro Continuo, Milan, Parckdesign, Brussels (2016), and the Athens Biennale (2015). He was joint artistic director with Michelangelo Pistoletto of the Bordeaux Urban Art Biennale Event, in 2011, and took part in the Art in Society research group, at the Fontys Academy in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
